Vigyél Haza Foundation (‘Take Me Home’ Foundation) was established 3 years ago by reputable persons from the realms of culture, arts and business to help improve the living conditions and chances of being adopted of dogs at Illatos Street Dog Control Facility (Municipality of Budapest).
Recently with the help of our enthusiastic volunteers we have helped more than 350 dogs find new, loving owners. Our attention-getting calendars made with the support of reputable artists and other public figures had reached over 25.000 people by the end of last year.
By using the money proceeded and other donations we could provide all outside kennels at Illatos Street Dog Control Facility with heat-insulating carpets. In 2009 we have bought medical ultrasound scanners for Illatos Street, making possible the diagnosis of pregnancy, also tumours at elderly dogs.
With our work and events we aim to raise attention to responsible animal keeping; and from this year on we engage in fostering animal affection amongst the young. From this year we also partake in healing wounded dogs at Illatos Street. All dogs who went through medical treatment with our support are accommodated by the Foundation’s temporary volunteers until they are completely rehabilitated.
We are willing to co-operate with all benevolent, positive thinking and ready to act persons, communities, institutions or firms in order to achieve our goals.
